COLOMBO: Sri Lanka’s Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa has said that if DMK leader M Karunanidhi’s unfulfilled dream is to establish “Tamil Eelam” he should work for it in India itself because India and not Lanka has the largest number of Tamils in the world. “A much bigger population of Tamils live in Tamil Nadu in India than in Lanka. If Karunanidhi wants a Tamil Eelam he can have it in Tamil Nadu. He should not come to make Eelams in Lanka. This is a sovereign country. We consider those who talk about Eelam terrorists,” the Defence Secretary told the Daily Mirror on Thursday.
