Strong 6.2-magnitude quake shakes Mexico: US monitor

The quake struck at 1051 GMT in the ocean 105 kilometers (65 miles) southwest of the coastal city of Manzanillo.

WASHINGTON: A strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the southern Pacific coast of Mexico on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey that monitors quakes worldwide reported.

The quake struck at 1051 GMT in the ocean 105 kilometers (65 miles) southwest of the coastal city of Manzanillo, and 641 kilometers (398 miles) west of Mexico City, the USGS reported. There were no immediate reports of damage.
