ISLAMABAD: In an apparent honour killing, a Pakistani woman who married a man of her choice was allegedly set on fire on Wednesday in Lahore, a media report said.

The woman, identified as Zeenat, married a man of her choice a few days ago. She was burnt alive in the Factory Area of the Punjab capital city, Geo TV quoted police as saying.

The deceased woman's mother, identified as Parveen, was taken into custody.
