Indian man's sweet shop vandalised in Nepal

Around five people entered the Aangan Sweets shop at Gyaneshwor and smashed the glass covered showcase causing a damage of around Rs 500,000, police said.

KATHMANDU: A group of unidentified people vandalised an Indian national's sweet shop here. Around five people entered the Aangan Sweets shop at Gyaneshwor and smashed the glass covered showcase causing a damage of around Rs 500,000, police said.

Aangan is one of the six outlets run by Pashupati Foods belonging to Indian national Anju Goenka. The shop is popular in the city. Police had reached the shop few minutes after the incident but the miscreants had already vanished from the scene. No one has been arrested so far. The miscreants did not take away any sweet item or cash from the shop.
