TIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The talent of a fashion designer lies in creating new designs, experimenting with colours, textures, cuts and embellishments. Redefining the concept of bridal collections, Couturier Aanu Nobby launched her new designer showroom ‘Label Aande’, an exclusive Couture studio at Alamcode in Attingal. The brand that owns a diverse collection ranging from bridals, party and kids wear and much more, saw a gala opening with an exclusive ramp show by top models. The show was choreographed by celebrity fashion choreographer Dalu Krishnadas, an elite label of South Indian Fashion Industry. Dalu Krishnadas, is a star among fashion choreographers of the South Indian Industry and also international labels.

An exclusive wedding couture collection was launched on the occasion through a ramp walk by top models in three sequences, which included a Pastel Bride, Onam Brides along with an Exclusive Designer Brides and Grooms sequence. In the pastel bride sequence, there was a collection of shades in mint green, ash and black, and also black metal. “Usually black metal is used in ornaments but here we have used it in the pastel bride collection. This gives a more trendy look to the fabric,” says Aanu, the designer.

The other attraction in the collection is the Onam bridal collections which are a mix of tradition and royalty. Aanu says, “ Every woman looks upto ornaments to go along with their saris. But our Kerala sari is not something which suits every woman. So I wanted to give it a more trendy look. So I have introduced a ‘Settu-mundu’ with purple bell sleeve. People usually go for a maroon blouse but purple colour adds more beauty to the normal Kerala sari.”

There is also a collection of designer lehenga sarees which looks ethnic and modern at the same time. The Aranmula Kannadi and bell designs also adorn the Kerala saris, giving it a trendy look. Aanu, the brain behind the Couture Studio says, “Weaving couture into fabrics is my passion. To make my dream a reality, I established Label Aande. With this new couture studio, Alamcode has now turned into the most prestigious fashion label destination in this part of the state.”

The services that the brand offers include exclusive Bridal Couture, Men’s Designing for parties and Weddings, Fashion Runway Projects, Customised Designing, and Customised Stitching. Aanu Nobby who has already made a mark with her designs for the reality show D 4 Dance Season 3, Asianet Film Awards, Asianet Comedy Awards, Vanitha Film Awards, Flowers TV Awards and more, has designed for over 26 South Indian film stars and other celebrities, including Bhavana, Priya Mani, Pearley Maaney, Neha Saxena, Rahini Nadwani, Prasanna Master, Aadhil and others.
