Shoes as canvas for kitschy wearable art

The brand’s style and designs are fun and kitschy. Now you can wear sneakers at a wedding and make a statement worth chronicling.

We’ve all traded comfort with style, realising later, that was not the best decision.  Poshampa, a bespoke lifestyle brand has introduced a new women’s footwear collection that combines comfort with hand-painted contemporary designs.

Conceptualised by its brand owner and designer Garima Arya, the product is a means to make original art accessible and take it to the common man, as not everyone can afford wearable art.
Named after a an outdoor game that most of us have played in our childhood, Arya wanted to spiral back nostalgia.

There is an entire collection dedicated to the Indian brides, with each pair customised according to the customer’s preference. For instance, in the Rajasthani bride series, the canvas is designed with acrylic and fabric. There are others with quirky messages written on them such as Banno Tera Swagger. These are availability in pink, lavender and blue.

Others have Minions, Frida Kahlo, Sponge Bob, Chucky Doll, Messi, Harry Potter, Ironman and Superman on them. These are available  on the brand’s Instagram and Facebook Pages.
