KOCHI: Showcasing Kerala’s picturesque landscape with its cascading waterfalls, misty mountains, serene backwaters, monsoon magic, flora and fauna and spectacular rituals, Shaadhi Wedding Management will organise a Wedding Expo here on Saturday and Sunday, in a bid to promote the state as a premium wedding destination.

The expo, scheduled to be held at Hotel Holiday Inn in Kochi, will give new insights on the various dimensions of wedding like thematic decor, photography, costume and attire, jewellery, wedding makeover and selection of destination, Shaadhi Wedding Management director Prijo Jose said here on Thursday. “The aim is to tap the increasing potential of the state as a wedding destination and address the burgeoning demand for wedding planning.

The expo will showcase products, services and destinations. This will be the first wedding expo in the state that attempts to tap the state’s tourism potential as a wedding destination. Every year around 100 visitors from abroad arrive in the state after being lured by the enchanting location for weddings. The industry offers huge employment opportunities,” said CEO Varun Uday. The event is being hosted in association with the Event Management Association of Kerala, he said.
