THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai has said that he will seek the blessings of 62 Bishops, 13 Imams and a hundreds of Hindu sanyasis before embarking on his “Sabarimala Samrakshana Yatra” which will commence from Madhur temple in Kasargod on November 8 and culminate in Pathanamthitta on November 13.

Express has earlier reported that Pillai will be seeking the blessings of various religious leaders before the yatra. Pillai has close rapport with several bishops and imam’s personally.

The BJP leader is trying to fizzle out the CM Pinarayi Vijayan's allegation that the saffron party is creating communal tension in the name of Lord Ayyappa. The LDF convenor A Vijayaraghavan had recently claimed that the BJP Rath yatra will lead to communal clashes in the state.

Responding to Vijayaraghavan's claims, Sreedharan Pillai told Express, "BJP always wants peaceful protest. The statements of Vijayaraghavan connotes the CPM will do something mischivious during the yatra to blame the BJP”.
