Justice Mridula Bhatkar gave the direction when hearing an application filed by the state Anti-Terrorism Squad seeking custody of the three accused- Amol Kale, Amit Baddi and Ganesh Miskin.
The state police also told the apex court that it will file a charge sheet in the Kalburgi murder case in three months.
SIT claimed that the accused persons murdered journalist Gauri Lankesh inspired by the holy book 'Kshatradharma Sadhana' published by the pro-Hindu organisation.
In the 9,235-page chargesheet submitted before the Principal Civil and Sessions Court here Friday evening, it was also stated that the killing of Lankesh was plotted for almost five years.
According to sources, right wing organisation Sanathan Sanstha was also named in the chargesheet.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh is all set to submit a supplementary chargesheet to the court soon.
As his police custody ended on Thursday, the SIT officials produced him before the Special Court for KCOCA cases.
According to sources, the team took Agasar to Bengaluru to investigate his involvement in the Gauri murder case.
Accused Parashuram Waghmare and Manohar Edave had earlier made allegations before the media that SIT was trying to frame them and they didn’t know who Gauri Lankesh was.
Both Waghmare and Edave were questioned by journalists through the police vehicle which was on its way to the Central Prison from the court.
Armed with a body warrant from a Pune sessions court, the SIT official brought Kalaskar to city on Thursday and produced him before the special court.
Vasudeo Suryavanshi was arrested recently by the Maharashtra ATS in connection with the murders of Narendra Dabholkar, Pansare, Kalburgi and Gauri.
After the seizure of explosives from Nallasopara last month, the Maharashtra Police had arrested at least 10 people and was investigating their role in the killings of Gauri, Dabholkar, and Kalburgi.
Meanwhile, another training session with air guns was conducted at Belagavi following which they also had a session on making Molotov cocktails.
Chief prosecutor Jaisingh Desai told the court that the names of the two came up during the questioning of other accused in the explosives seizure case.
