OMM scheduled to release

Coinciding with the ensuing Raja festival,  several Odia films are in the pipeline to hit the theatres this month and one among them is Omm. With this explosive action drama, Sambit is all set to make a comeback in the movie directed by Sudhakar Basant. Made under S Pictures banner, Prakruti Mishra will be seen opposite Sambit apart from Samaresh, Pintoo Nanda, Salil Mitra, Saroj Das and many others who have essayed various roles.

Arindam in Danda Balunga 2

Aanisha who is currently the lea d actress in popular TV serial Swabhimaan, is all set to make a debut in director Tapas Sargharia’s upcoming movie, Danda Balunga 2. Paired opposite Arindam Roy, she seems quite excited about the role and is happy to begin her Odia film career with this movie scheduled  to hit the floors on May 15. It is a remake of the 1984 superhit movie, Danda Balunga, that starred Uttam and Aparajita Mohanty  and was made under the banner of Brajaraj Movies.  Siddhant will be seen enacting a negative role besides Mahasweta and Mihir Das who will be playing supporting roles.

Mu Tara Kie

Angel Creations’ new movie Mu Tara Kie will be releasing in theatres in the coming months. Produced by Yukta Rakshit who had played the lead role in Swayamsiddha with Sidhant and Sunil Kumar, the story of Mu Tara Kie has also been written by Yukta and it is being directed by Basant Sahoo. While Bikash Dash has scored the music, lyrics are by Arun Mantri and Sirsananda Das Kanungo. The lead roles in the movie, that revolves around an unusual love story of a 60 year old man and 22 old girl, have been played by Mihir Das and Yukta.
