I am a lipstick fan. And when a product is priced reasonably, the admiration only increases; this without compromising on quality, of course. Getting the formulation right, while making a product economical is a huge feat for any brand and Faces Canada has nailed it with their Comfy Matte Liquid Lipsticks.

The product lives up to its name and offers a smooth application and gives you an unwrinkled finish. If you have dry lips like me, the lipstick will crack after four-five hours. My suggestion would be to prime them with a thick lip balm beforehand. The brand promises a 10-hour-long-stay formula but that should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Speaking of colour, the lipsticks are available in 12 shades covering browns, pinks, nudes, corals and plums. The selection is good but not fantastic. I found the nudes to be too deep for my liking. To tone down the pigmentation, I added a tiny drop of concealer and blended it all out. It worked well but I wish the brand had made their nudes more skin-like. The lipsticks are cruelty- , alcohol- and paraben-free, which is always a bonus.
