Guru Gita is the Ultimate Truth

Guru is that state of mind which reveals the truth of existence as it is, devoid of passion, emotion, confusion and any motives or hidden agenda.

The glories of chanting the name of the Guru is endless. It not only bestows success in all endeavours, but also gives the one who chants the Guru

Gita total enjoyment of joy in this world and liberates the mind. Lord Shiva asserts again and again, “This truth that I have explained to you, O auspicious Parvati, is the truth. There is no truth that is equal to the Guru Gita.”

There is one God, there is one reality, there is one discipline which destroys all enemies of the mind. There is no truth that is greater than the Guru... there is no truth greater than the Guru.

Guru is that state of mind which reveals the truth of existence as it is, devoid of passion, devoid of emotion, devoid of confusion and devoid of any motives or hidden agenda.

The mother, father, lineage and the whole community of one who is devoted to the Guru is blessed. The Earth that bears such a person is blessed and it is rare indeed. Guru is the body. Guru is all the senses of perception and action. Guru is the life-sustaining force. Guru is all wealth. Guru is all one’s friends and relatives. Guru is the mother, the father and one’s lineage. There is no doubt in this. For the one who has surrendered to a Satguru, all these relationships are none other than the Guru himself. For one who has not come across such a Guru, all these people in the world—mother, father, friends, relatives, lineage and everything in existence—put together is the Guru.

By just making the Guru happy—and the Guru is pleased by nothing other than following the instructions on living a life of truth—one gains what cannot be gained by chants, austerities, penances through a crore cycles of creation and destruction of this universe.

Those who are not intelligent enough to see the truth due to their strength of knowledge and austerities fail to serve the Guru. Meditation on the Guru is the most holy sanctifying place of pilgrimage. Other places have no purpose. All the holy places of worship have their abode in just the big toe of the Guru’s feet.

By chanting the name of the Guru, one attains victory and endless merits. This chant of the Guru Gita has to be done by dropping all actions that disturb the mind, whether on a journey, in a battle field or while facing an enemy. One who chants this at the time of death gains liberation of mind.

This great secret of the Guru Gita, I have given unto you O Parvati as you are so dear to me. You are my very own self and this has to be given only to those who have an extremely mature mind, with total faith and surrender.
