The Cycle of Creation

Creation is an unending cycle. It has no beginning or end. It’s a continuous process which is divided into mahayugs, which are further subdivided into yugs—Sat, Treta, Dwapar and Kali.

Each yug has its traits by which it is defined and a specific level of existence, which it holds in its folds. The beings that inhabit each yug vibrate at a specific pranic frequency. This frequency determines their qualities, nature and forms.

Satyug is the time when dharma is at its peak. As a result, environment is healthy, natural resources abound, there is little corruption and treachery. The frequencies are extremely subtle. The time is conducive to subtlest frequencies manifesting in physical body. Health and lifespan of men is at its peak. The exit route for Satyug is direct gyan in the sanidhya of guru.

Treta yug is marked by dharma losing its one leg. The environment deteriorates and crimes increase.

The frequencies are less subtle as are men and their bodies. In this yug, it is not possible to acquire gyan directly from Creation as those shaktis are no longer in the physical body. The exit route for this yug this dhyan under the sanidhya of guru, which leads to gyan.

With Dwapar yug, dharma declines further. The beings of Treta can no longer be in the body as the environment and thoughts are not conducive to them. The lifespan of men is smaller, and diseases and vices are on the rise.

It is not possible to sit in dhyan in such a scenario, so the guru guides the being of Dwapar on the path of karma, so that his/her frequency becomes conducive to dhyan, which leads to gyan and also leads to vairagya and bliss.

Coming to the present yug—the Kaliyug. In this yug, adharma is at its peak, as is pollution, disease and suffering. The spiritual equation for exit from this yug begins with seva as per guru vakya. Seva leads to improving karma, which leads to dhyan, which leads to gyan, followed by vairagya and bliss.

The spiritual equation is the yug-specific exit route. The role of guru is shaaswat in all yugs. Energy is different in every yugs and has to be used for one’s benefit and upliftment. Seva or service is the tool for Kaliyug, it guarantees good health and the sanidhya of a guru and then finally moksha.

Seva is donation of your time, for which there can be no excuse. Anyone, irrespective of their power or assets in society, can donate time to save animals, feed the poor, teach underprivileged kids, nurture the environment, etc.

If you look around, the cows are meeting painful death by consuming plastic, dogs are run down by cars, monkeys are homeless and famished, human suffering and troubles are at their peak. The present yug provides ample opportunity for every individual to do his part in giving back to the creation. This will help one to go beyond the trait of selfishness, which is the basic trait of Kaliyug.

Seva can be of many types.

• Towards guru, this would lead to spiritual experiences and bliss.

• Towards animals, this would ensure a painless life.

• Towards humans, this would ensure financial stability and good health.

Saint Francis of Asisi had said that it is in giving that you receive, it is in loving that you are loved and it is in dying that you are born again.

If you give love, you will get love. If you serve the sick, it will ensure good health. If you feed the poor, you will always have enough. If you teach the uneducated, you will get wisdom. Anyone doing seva would be contended, happy and disease-free.
