If you take away your human perspective and simply look at everything, the whole existence is just complex geometry; it is just shapes. If I look at a tree, the most significant aspect of the tree for me is not the colour or the flowers, but the geometry of it. It is the geometry of it which makes it stand. It is the geometry, and not the colour or other things, which tells you the whole story about what the tree is going through.
If I look at the geometry of the tree, almost 99 per cent of the time, I can tell whether it is a tap root or a fibrous root, even if I do not know anything about the tree. It is not just with a tree, with every aspect of life, if you look at it, ultimately it is just geometry.
The whole system of eastern mysticism can be transmitted as geometry. The whole existence can be represented in the form of geometry. Modern science is trying to deduce the whole existence into numbers through all kinds of equations and calculations.
These numbers only represent the geometrical forms of the existence—from the simple physical geometry to the complex chemical geometry; to the more complex atomic geometry and to the much more complex energetic geometry. How effectively you can walk, play, drive; how effectively you can handle life is just a question of your understanding of the geometry of forms, shapes and distances.
The whole existence has evolved from simple forms of geometry to complex forms of geometry, but nothing has really changed. The basic form that happens when the unmanifest begins to manifest is always the form of an ellipsoid. That is why everywhere, the whole tradition talks about the linga. Linga means a perfect ellipsoid. It is just one simple form, but it is from that simple form that all the complex forms that you call as existence have arisen.
The very shape of the Milky Way is elliptical. It looks elliptical in pictures because pictures are two-dimensional. If you had a way of taking a three-dimensional picture, it would be an ellipsoid.
What you call as existence is multiplication, permutations and combination of that one form. Everything is an outcome of that ellipsoid shape. This is not because of a certain culture or a Shiva cult. This is a science that has been observed and arrived at with very deep observation of life, and an extremely deep insight into the way life is made.
It is this complexity which is the maya. It is this complexity which is dumbfounding you about life. You are confounded about the nature of life simply because it has taken on so many billions of forms. But forms cannot drop from somewhere. From nothingness, one basic form happened, and from that form all the other forms multiplied.
To make these complex forms into its original form is sadhana. Out of all these complex forms, the root form is in a certain way; you have to catch the seed of life. Once the seed of life is in your hands, you can do whatever you want with it. Every human being should earn that freedom, and that blessed state. Otherwise he will be a slave of life.
