The Opposition camp has started blaming the ruling BJP of neglecting people of this state due to which they were given a befitting reply.

He hinted at taking other regional parties together even if they succeed in securing a majority in the state.
Former Union Minister P Chidambaram, who was participating in the DMK-led protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, tweeted this in reaction to the news of the win: "Dented in Haryana, Denied in Maharashtra, Defeated in Jharkhand. Raghubar Das took oath as Chief Minister in 2014 as BJP won 37 seats and stitched an alliance with the AJSU, which got 5 seats. However, AJSU broke ties with BJP this time around and contested polls solo this time. While the ruling party has fielded its candidates in 79 out of the 81 seats, it has not fielded any candidate against AJSU's Sudesh Mahto, and has supported a candidate in the remaining one constituency.
Two of the key contestants in this state elections are BJP and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led Opposition alliance. BJP, which had won 37 seats in the last elections, coined the slogan "Abki baar 65 paar". However, it is facing a stiff challenge as the alliance of JMM, Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) seems to have an advantage, as per exit polls released last week.

The people of Jharkhand were unhappy and everyone knew that the Congress is going to win. They pressed their entire resources into use in Jharkhand but the message of Sonia Gandhi went to the people.
