Four Naxals killed in Bihar's Gaya district

Officials said the bodies of the Maoists have been recovered along with four weapons after an operation led by the CoBRA battalion of the CRPF and state police ended in Baskatwa village.

NEW DELHI: Four Naxals were today killed in a gunbattle with security forces in the jungles of Gaya district of Bihar.

Officials said the bodies of the Maoists have been recovered along with four weapons after an operation led by the CoBRA battalion of the CRPF and state police ended in Baskatwa village of the district.

"An AK assault rifle, a Self Loading Rifle (SLR) and two INSAS rifles have been recovered from the spot.The operation was led by the 204th battalion of the CoBRA," a senior Central Reserve Police Force official said.

Additional reinforcements have been sent to conduct a search operation in the area.
