From IIT Delhi to senior bureaucracy, Subodh Agarwal’s career is under scrutiny as investigators probe alleged irregularities in Jal Jeevan Mission tenders in Rajasthan.
In connection with the case, nine officials including the Chief Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) have already been arrested.
In the petition, Agarwal claimed that nearly 95% of the work orders awarded to the accused firms were approved by the Finance Committee chaired by then Additional Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant.
Sources said that approval was originally sought to investigate eight officers, but after nearly a year’s wait, the government has cleared action against six.
