Panel chief PP Chaudhary said that if the constitutional amendment is approved in Parliament by 2028, the rollout of 'One Nation, One Election' can begin that same year.
The committee has been holding nationwide consultations on the proposed implementation of simultaneous elections for the Lok Sabha, state assemblies and local bodies by 2029.
The committee, comprising 39 members including 27 Lok Sabha MPs and 12 Rajya Sabha MPs has been touring different states to gather political feedback before finalizing its recommendations.
He said six former chief justices of India told the committee that there is no violation of any kind regarding the federal structure, basic structure, or fundamental rights.
