Relations between India and Bangladesh have witnessed strain after Hasina virtually addressed the press on August 5 in New Delhi, where she said she is determined to return home in December.
The clarification came after Bangladesh strongly condemned Hasina’s participation in a live media interaction hosted by the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of South Asia in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Bangladesh government alleged that Hasina's remarks were an attempt to "reverse the tide of history", adding that the people had already rejected such narratives.
