Ashwini Vaishnaw said Pax Silica will boost India’s electronics and semiconductor sector, while Sergio Gor called it a “coalition of capabilities” replacing coercive dependencies.
As a member of the BRICS grouping, New Delhi’s decision to align with a US-led economic security framework is being viewed by analysts as strategically significant.
Helberg added that while the Pax Silica was launched in December, and by January, the US had "already had a meeting of the minds" around India joining Pax Silica.
In a parallel strategic move, Sergio Gor said India will be invited next month to join US-led Pax Silica initiative to secure silicon and critical tech supply chain.
