"Some organisation connected with the event wanted him to be a guest and had included his name. The MP in his letter has informed that he will not be available,” MLA Ashok Kumar Rai said.

The sexual harassment case against Brij Bhushan was moved by a group of woman wrestlers followed by massive protests backed by the country's top wrestlers.
Delhi's Rose Avenue Court was hearing arguments for framing of charges against Brij Bhushan after the police filed a chargesheet in the sexual harassment case against him by six women wrestlers.
The police made the submission before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal during the argument on whether to frame charges against Singh in the case.
The counsel representing the wrestlers claimed Brij Bhushan and suspended Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) assistant secretary Vinod Tomar were never exonerated by the ‘oversight committee’.

It is learnt that representatives from 21 state units attended the meeting and pledged their allegiance to Singh, a BJP member of parliament from Kaiserganj, Uttar Pradesh.
Though Bhushan and his son are not part of the electoral college for the elections, his son -in-law Vishal Singh is a representative from Bihar in the polls and could likely contest for a top post.
One of the prominent changes is the exclusion of the sidelined WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and his son Karan from the list.
