EAM S Jaishankar fires on the target during his overseas trip

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar is garnering a lot of praise for his articulate and assertive replies on India's foreign policy during his recent press conferences as part of his US trip. Several of his statements had gone viral on Social Media. S Jaishankar had been at his best in smashing it out of the park with his viral statements, criticising the American media for being biassed in its coverage of India, pointing out that colonialism had made India one of the world's poorest countries, and raising questions over the "merits" of the US-Pakistan relationship. Amarnath cloudburst: 16 dead, over 40 missing; rescue operations underway

At least 16 people died and more than 40 are reported missing after a cloudburst near Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir on July 8. 15,000 stranded pilgrims have been shifted to the lower base camp of Panjtarni. Rescue operations began immediately by the Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and disaster management agencies. Following the tragedy, the Amarnath Yatra has been suspended.
