An official said that that all the eight candidates secured the minimum quota of 26 votes each to make it to the Upper House of the state legislature.
The alleged illegal phone tapping had taken place when Shukla headed the State Intelligence Department (SID), police have said.
As the investigation into the case is on, the Mumbai Police have summoned Eknath Khadse to record his statement.
They tapped the phones of these two leaders in June 2019 for "vested political interests," said the First Information Report registered at Colaba police station in south Mumbai on Wednesday.
Besides Khadse, his wife Mandakini and their son-in-law Girish Chaudhary are also named as accused in the case.

A single bench of Justice N W Sambre directed Khadse to approach the special PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) court to seek regular bail.
The court had summoned Khadse, his wife and other accused in the case after taking cognisance of the chargesheet filed in the case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
