The revision in the fuel price has been welcomed by the citizens, who are expecting a further reduction in the fuel price.
The price cut in diesel is the fourth since August 18, when the reduction cycle began. All four reductions have been of 20 paise per litre each.
Through this, the Union government will get Rs 3.55 crore additional income a day and around Rs 1,200 crore a year.
With the cut, diesel is now priced at Rs 89.47 and with no change in rates petrol continues to be sold for Rs 101.84 per litre in Delhi.
