The development comes a week after the Centre had informed the Parliament that no states had specifically reported any deaths due to oxygen shortage during the second wave.
According to government sources, this data is likely to be presented in the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Parliament.

When asked about O Panneerselvam’s comment on Thursday that Chief Minister MK Stalin had written to the Prime Minister on May 7,
'There are no deaths in the state due to shortage of medical oxygen. Such deaths may have occurred in other states,' Health Minister Rajesh Tope said.
