Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj said AAP was not inclined to approach the courts over the issue, citing ongoing legal cases in Bihar and West Bengal.
In the order, ECI cited the volume and nature of the work involved in the exercise. The honorarium will be paid in addition to the officials' annual remuneration.
They sought that central observers from other states be appointed to oversee the SIR exercise in every district to ensure it is conducted in a fair, transparent, and impartial manner.
