Nearly 50 lakh people in 15 districts of Bihar have been affected by floods as heavy rain over the past few days further swelled rivers already flowing above their danger marks.
Around 49.67 lakh people have been affected across 15 districts of the state. The flood situation in a few districts is still grim. Water level has started receding in most of the rivers.
The RJD leader alleged that the ruling NDA "bought votes" by distributing Rs 10,000 each to women ahead of the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, putting a strain on the treasury.
