According to the NIA, all 10 accused, including the main perpetrator Dr Umer Un Nabi (deceased), were linked to Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), an offshoot of Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).
According to officials, raids were conducted at nine sites, including areas in Handwara (Kupwara district), Rafiabad (Baramulla district), as well as parts of Kulgam and Srinagar.
Highlighting party traditions, Nehru recalled that under former leaders MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa, the leading party in an alliance would allocate seats to its partners.
