President Donald Trump said for a second day that the US is in talks with Iran to end the war as diplomatic efforts picked up Tuesday and Iran has again denied that any negotiations are taking place.
Lebanon was pulled into the Middle East war when Hezbollah began firing rockets into Israel on March 2 to avenge the killing of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Lebanese authorities said the death toll from Israeli attacks had reached 850, including over 100 children, while more than 830,000 people had registered as displaced.
Iran continued attacks on Gulf countries with Bahrain reporting strikes on its Al Ma'ameer oil facility on Monday, which caused fire and material damages.
Hezbollah is represented in both the government and parliament and the move came hours after the party announced it had launched rockets and drones towards Israel early Monday.
