Rane, the son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Union Minister Narayan Rane, previously made headlines by claiming that there were no Muslims in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army.
The Maharashtra Deputy CM was responding to a question about his cabinet colleague Rane's recent claim that Muslims were not part of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's army.
Rane also slammed NCP (SP) leaders Supriya Sule and Jitendra Awhad, alleging that they express concern only for Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son, and Nawab Malik and not for Hindu artists.
Rane sparked a major controversy on Sunday by calling Kerala a "mini Pakistan" and stating "all terrorists vote for Gandhis" in reference to Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.
