The order was passed on Yadav’s petition seeking quashing of the cheque-bounce proceedings and recall of the non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued against him.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana noted that pursuant to its last order, Yadav has submitted Rs 1.15 crore.
The dispute dates back to 2010, when the complainant firm allegedly provided Rs 5 crore in financial assistance to Yadav for his directorial debut film Ata Pata Lapata.
According to the notice, the loan of Rs 16.61 crore was taken from the Central Bank's Mumbai branch in the names of Yadav's wife, Radha Yadav, and his mother, Godavari Yadav.
