Zelenskyy appealed at the United Nations earlier this week to countries to starve Russia of revenue through sanctions and trade bans, denying Moscow the money it needs to prolong the war.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to every country that stands with Ukraine and helps its people and urged nations to limit trade with Russia, as that will impact Moscow’s revenue sources to fuel the war.
The meeting occurred after Russian missiles and drones struck at least four Ukrainian regions overnight, strikes that officials said killed five people.
Russian authorities say the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia territories, often referred to by Moscow officials as the "new regions," have over 3.5 million voters.
Speaking in New Delhi, the Russian president said Moscow does not threaten Europe and has no grounds for conflict, as he attended the 18th BRICS Summit in India.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Moscow is determined to accomplish its goals in Ukraine and indicated that Russia believes it is close to winning the war.
