Speaking in New Delhi, the Russian president said Moscow does not threaten Europe and has no grounds for conflict, as he attended the 18th BRICS Summit in India.
Putin also stressed the BRICS grouping was not against anyone and Moscow was open to working with the whole world as he agreed to further strengthen bilateral ties with India.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Moscow is determined to accomplish its goals in Ukraine and indicated that Russia believes it is close to winning the war.
Jaishankar said he also discussed complex global challenges, including supply chain resilience and food, fuel and fertiliser security, with his Polish counterpart.
