Kerala Rains: Four dead, widespread damage as downpour continues

Heavy rain continued to lash most parts of the state on Sunday, leaving at least four people dead, damaging scores of houses and destroying a large extent of crops besides causing flood and landslips in some areas.

Heavy rains across Kerala; major dams in Pathanamthitta filled to capacity

Kerala has been witnessing heavy rains since Friday night owing to the low pressure formations in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Pathanamthitta is witnessing heavy rains akin to the heavy showers during the 2018 floods. Major dams in the district have been filled to their capacity.

Assam floods: 5 dead, nearly 6.47 lakh people affected in 22 districts

Assam's monsoon flood situation continued to worsen on September 1st. Over 6.47 lakh people were affected in 22 of the state's 34 districts. Officials with the ASDMA reported 2 more drownings in Majuli and Barpeta districts, bringing the death toll since August 30 to 5.

Maharashtra floods: At least 113 dead, 100 missing; CM visits rain-battered Chiplun

The number of deaths due to flooding, landslides and other rain-related incidents in parts of #Maharashtra reached *113 on July 25th with one more casualty reported in the last 24 hours, while *100 people were missing after the monsoon fury, the state government said.
