The Met department has predicted more rains for Thursday across the State. Surface winds of 40 kmph velocity are likely to be witnessed in coastal areas.
In Hyderabad, the weather is expected to be cloudy. Light to moderate rains or thundershowers may occur on the evening of July 18, 2021.
Overall, Telangana recorded 260.9mm rainfall against the normal of 180.2mm, which is 45 per cent above normal.
Besides thunderstorms, IMD expects light to moderate rains in a few places across the state.
The maximum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 37-40 degree Celsius across the State for the next three days.
Under the influence of change in weather along the coast, thunderstorms with lightning and gale winds are likely in isolated places across AP over the next four days.
Hailstorm is expected to occur at isolated places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur districts during the period.
The MeT department has issued an orange warning for thundersquall with wind speeds reaching upto 50 km/hr to 60 km/hr at one or two places in Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Jajpur and Bhadrak.
While the IMD has been forecasting thundershowers regularly, the occurrences in the State have been rare.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms, accompanied with lightning, at isolated parts of Telangana over the next four days.
The maximum temperatures recorded were 4-5 degree Celsius below the average in most parts of the State.
The IMD said isolated heavy rainfall is also likely over south and ghat areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe, coastal and south interior Karnataka during April 14-16.
