Putting all speculations to rest, former minister and expelled BJD leader Damodar Rout finally floated a new political party on Friday.
Dama had announced that he will form a new political outfit after he was expelled from BJD by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on September 12 for anti-party activities.
Talking to mediapersons, Rout said he gave Muduli his identity in politics and introduced him to the people of Balikuda-Erasama constituency.
Rout said as he refused to accept the bribe and insisted on the probe, he was thrown out of the Ministry.
However, the veteran did not appear to be someone who would quietly fade into the sunset.
The Chief Minister, however, dismissed the remarks against him by Rout as ‘ridiculous’.
The move came a day after Naveen received complaints of anti-party activities against the senior BJD leader from party workers from Jagatsinghpur district.
While rivals of former minister and Paradip MLA Damodar Rout clamoured for his ouster before Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Capital.
Both Muduli and Das alleged that Rout invited BJP and Congress leaders to a recently held public meeting at Erasama by ignoring BJD leaders of the area.
Muduli said though he is the local MLA, Rout did not consult with him for organising the function.

A day after senior BJD leader and former minister Damodar Rout expressed displeasure over being sidelined by the party, his son and party general secretary Sambit Routray said it is unfortunate.
Since Congress is a secular party, Rout said, there should not be any objection in aligning with it to defeat the BJP's ‘120+ mission’ in Odisha.
