Gupta described hosting the 18th BRICS Summit as a moment of honour and pride for Delhi, highlighting the city's history, cultural diversity and spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.
Over 500 CCTV cameras, facial recognition systems and traffic restrictions have been put in place as global leaders, including Putin and Xi, arrive for the two-day summit.
The summit comes as BRICS seeks to expand its influence as a platform representing emerging economies and advocating a greater role for the Global South in international decision-making.
