Farmers alleged that seven false cases were filed against him to suppress the protests by poultry farmers against broiler companies over low chicken-rearing rates.
Announcing a general strike on February 12, SKM leaders said protests would be held in villages across the country, with effigies of US President Trump and PM Modi to be burned.
"If US produce is pushed in the country, our farmers will be finished for good," said senior SKM leader and president of the All Indian Kisan Federation Prem Singh Bhangu.
