A deformation case had been filed against Kangana by an elderly woman farmer over an alleged derogatory remark made by her during the 2020-21 farmers' protest.
The actor-turned-politician had challenged the defamation complaint which stemmed from her retweet comprising her own comment about a woman protestor during the 2020-21 farmer protests.
Earlier the Punjab and Haryana HC, while dismissing Ranaut’s plea, noted in its order that the magistrate had “duly applied mind to the material on record”.
Ranaut had sought quashing of the criminal complaint filed under Sections 499 and 500 of IPC, as well as the summoning order and all subsequent proceedings in the matter.
