Atendees alleged that over the past few years, several Nepali-origin women had been involved in the illegal trade of liquor and meat within Gauri Kund.
Work to clear the debris has commenced, with Omkar Nath Pandey, Executive Engineer of the National Highway, stating, “Two machines have been deployed to clear the rubble.”
The road has been completely blocked by the landslide debris and stones at the Munkatiya sliding zone, prompting the administration to stop the yatra temporarily, police said.
