According to a chargesheet filed by the Thane Police, question papers were smuggled out of an Agra printing press hidden inside shoe insoles by two employees for a mere Rs 8,000.
The CoE told media persons that if it is established that the question papers were leaked, the examinations will be conducted again and strict action will be taken against those involved.
The incident comes amid massive protests by MPSC aspirants over the leak of the drug inspector examinations and other irregularities during the MPSC Main exams last year.
The Leader of Opposition said thousands of aspirants had lost nearly a year as the government remained silent on a fresh exam and action against those behind the leak.
