Two camps are planned before September 1, with every sterilised and vaccinated dog documented, issued a receipt and returned to the same locality with the help of feeders and RWAs.
The demand follows an incident at Thiruvalluvar Nagar in Thiruvanmiyur on Thursday, when GCC dog-catching personnel reportedly began capturing strays around 11.30 pm.
