Responding to criticism over VCK general secretary Vanniarasu’s Assembly remarks that Dalit rights had been affected during the DMK regime, he said his remarks should not be distorted.
Despite these reverses, criticism continued to be directed only at VCK, he said, adding that some political forces were still unwilling to accord the party due importance in the TVK government.
He said allegations had been raised that legislators were being “bought” across parties and pointed to complaints by two TVK MLAs claiming attempts were made to lure them.
