The high court passed the order while dismissing an application filed by Phogat, who has returned to wrestling after maternity leave, seeking permission to compete in the trials.
Phogat sought a stay on the circular, claiming that it excluded her from participating in the selection trials for the championship, scheduled to be held in Astana from Oct 24 to Nov 1.
"From the very beginning, the entire administration, the government, and the system have been engaged in protecting Brij Bhushan," Phogat posted on 'X'.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma closed the proceedings on Phogat's petition, which challenged the show-cause notice as well as the WFI's selection policy and circular.
The bench declined to examine the high court’s observations, clarifying that the apex court should not be treated as having endorsed the findings made in the impugned order.
