The apex court bench, comprising Justice J K Maheshwari and Justice Vijay Bishnoi, sought a reply from the Madras HC on the rules being followed in the listing and hearing of cases.
The Supreme Court’s October directive for a CBI probe came after hearing multiple petitions filed by TVK leaders and families of the victims seeking an impartial investigation into the Karur stampede.
