The protesting ASHA volunteers staged an impromptu sit-in outside the Swasthya Bhavan demanding an honorarium of at least Rs 15,000 per month.

They have been demanding a minimum monthly wage of Rs 21,000 and a one-time retirement benefit of Rs 5 lakh.
