A petition was filed before the Supreme Court on Monday seeking directions to resolve the issue and ensure that Tamil Nadu receives its rightful share of Cauvery water within the stipulated time.
DKS asserted that his government was committed to protecting Karnataka's interests on the Cauvery issue while appealing to organisations to withdraw the proposed Karnataka bandh.
The Minister said the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly had recently discussed the Cauvery issue with the participation of all political parties and unanimously adopted a resolution.
