The condition of eight other women remains critical. All are reportedly suffering from severe kidney and urinary complications following C-section deliveries.
Experts told TNIE that while C-sections can save lives, they carry serious infection risks and require strict hygiene, careful monitoring and timely post-operative care.
Around 12-13 women underwent C-sections on Monday; within hours, six developed complications including sudden drop in blood pressure and platelets, along with urinary blockage.
The condition of the six post operative women reportedly deteriorated suddenly after undergoing Caesarean surgeries in the gynaecology ward on the evening of 4 May.
Local residents alleged that the killing may have been an act of revenge linked to Jagan Mohan’s recent role in exposing illegal red sandalwood smuggling.
