The victim, R Roshini from Endapatti village near Palacode, had completed Class 12 last year and was preparing for NEET at a private coaching centre in Namakkal.
Miyapur police said she appeared for the exam last year but could not clear it. Later, she joined long-term coaching and had been preparing for a year.
The teenager had scored 85% in Class 12 and was preparing for another NEET-UG attempt to improve his score and boost his chances of securing a medical college seat.
His remarks came after Akanksha Chaturvedi, a NEET aspirant from Madhya Pradesh, allegedly died by suicide in Nagpur amid reports of NEET-UG irregularities.
The deceased identified as Bhagyashree, was doing well academically and had passed the PUC exam with 92 per cent marks, her father Rajashekhar told reporters.
