The chief minister was inaugurating the second edition of Young Indians Parliament 2026 at the Old Legislative Assembly Hall in the Secretariat on Friday.
The Congress is set to hold a series of crucial leadership meetings in the coming days, during which several contentious policy decisions of the UDF government are expected to come under scrutiny.
The government’s foremost priority is to safeguard the state’s interests while ensuring Vizhinjam Port realises its full potential as a globally competitive transshipment hub, the CM said.
The CM told the Assembly that the government had come to know about reports of MSC acquiring a stake in the Vizhinjam port project for an investment of Rs 13,000 crore only through the media.
